I am a woman in her late 30’s (that hurts to write!!) living in BC Canada. I have 4 children, a wonderful husband and one extra furbaby in the form of a dog named Kody. I love to quilt and cross stitch and have started to do a little bit of more primitive stitchery here and there also. My children are 15, 13, 11 and 9. My youngest son is an extra special blessing (although all my children are!) He has a degenerative neurological disease. If you would like to read more about him visit his caring bridge page at www.caringbridge.com/canada/andrewsjourney
We have been sent many challenges but God is faithful. One of the ways I take respite is by retreating to my Stitching room and quilting, sewing, stitching, working with my hands somehow and meditating and praising while I am there. I gets me through the day sometimes. !

Alison – Thanks for the comment! I’m officially OUT now! I’m glad to have found your blog. We can learn together!

Hi Alison,
Thank you for your comment on my stitchery.
You have lovely stitchery and patchwork too.
In reading your profile, don’t worry about the age thing you are only as old as you feel, just don’t look in the mirror!! I am thinking of banning these in my house. I feel the same about my craft too a pleasant retreat to get away from the hassles and stresses life cre8tes.
Take care and kind regards from Liz
Hi Alison!
Just checking in to see what you’ve been up to lately! Nice to see that you are busy and blogging.
Oh! If I try real real hard, I can almost remember 30!!! LOL…
Hi Alison
Lovely blog. Thank you for the comment on mine. Your family certainly keeps you busy.

Hi Alison,
I grew up in Vernon, BC and think it’s Eden on earth. I married an American and now live outside Chicago, IL. I desperately miss mountains.
I’ve enjoyed looking at all your projects and since I love ‘Told in a Garden’ designs was curious as to the design you are working on. I could only see a bit of green skirt.
I recently had a baby in Dec. 07 named Isabella so I’m stitching ‘Isabella’s Garden’ for her.
Julianna
Just to let you know I’m praying for both you and your family
